  • Synopsis acceptance by the research committee determines the thesis topic.
  • PhD and thesis must align with UGC guidelines 2009.
  • Mandatory weekly meetings between students and their guides.


  • Minimum period: 3 years, with an option for extended time.
  • Extra time incurs an additional fee.
  • Compulsory presentation to the research committee and defense.
  • Students can suggest a guide.
  • Guide must be approved by the University.


  • Candidates can choose their guide from options provided by ICRI and the University.
  • Under special circumstances, candidate-requested guides need academic board approval.
